From Auburn the ride was beautiful, but I did hit a lot of road construction which slowed things down a bit.  Once I got past Reno the speed limit changed to 75!  Ah, that's nice.  There were still many construction places, but the miles went by quickly.  I stopped in Winnemucca and took the picture at the left.  It is a very pretty church and well kept.  It is also well marked with road signs.  That is something we too often neglect.  I couldn't go inside, but was glad I took the time to see the church.  Michael Hope is the new pastor for the Winnemucca, Elko, and Ely district. Mind you, that stretches for 220 miles!  I went on to Elko where I stayed with the local church leader, Judy Andreson, and her husband, Ross.  They were so very hospitable and fun to talk to. Ross is a photographer for the local paper and Judy works for an agency providing assistance to substance abuse individuals and homeless.  She is on the right track with spurring the church on to building relationships with the community.  We had a great time.  Now it's after 11:00 and I have to get up at 6:00 so I can be in Salt Lake City by 11:00.  I just realized I lose an hour! Sweet dreams you all!
